House Season 5 - What Happened There?

My first post and I'm already complaining about how I hate my favorite show. Wait! let me explain. I think House is by far one of the best shows on television, the writing is deep and complicated and the character is one of a kind that everyone can love. The story lines are usually amazing and unmatched by any other! That is, until season 5 happened.

Seriously? you call that writing? After what could possibly be considered one of the greatest seasons of any show that I have ever seen (Season 4), you come out with this? House writers had a chance to put this show on top of all, Grey's Anatomy had fallen off of its thrown and CSI keeps dropping their characters like their viewers keep dropping them. So what happened? Why was it so boring and dry this year?

Well apparently the writers of house forgot that this was suppose to be a medical drama. Instead, they turned into a soap opera. Instead of focusing on the patient and how to cure or treat them, we were focused on 13's tumor and Foreman drug trails, which soon emerged and became one horrible boring story line. After that was over, instead of focusing on the medicine, we had a show about Kutner, yes, I get it, it was the beginning of House's demise, but then all of a sudden we jump to Cuddy? The one thing that I can remember about watching the past seasons of house was the patients. Getting to learn about crazy illnesses and watching House come up with weird and crazy treatments was what the show was built on, now its all about 13 and her Huntington's and Foreman's love for her? and House hallucinating his best friend's dead girlfriend? Not only did that NOT have anything to do with medicine, we were too focused on that crappy storyline that we forgot about the patients who were sick in the other room. (Not to mention, the whole talking to a ghost thing was way overplayed on network television this year. First Izzy with 10 episodes of what his name and her ghost sex now Amber and Kutner are appearing out of no where for no purpose other than to piss off the viewers).

The writers of House need to get back on track, and I'm gonna lay it out right now, Season 5 was by far the worst one of the series. They should go back and take a look at season 4, where the patient was the main priority and people's personal lives weren't the main focus of EVERY episode. Sure, throw some of that annoying personal crap in there to make the show a little more juicy, but please don't act like real doctors and forget about the patient!
